Default After days of orchid-care, I STILL have all these to deal with!

Spent the last few days repotting, labelling, researching, nursing, and photographing my collection and I am, to say the least, chagrined that these are still on the "to do" list. Only 50 or so plants in my collection and I think I need a staff - how do those with hundreds and thousands keep up with them? I'm in awe of growers like Dorsetman and the others who not only keep their plants thriving, but know all the background info, help the rest of us, and produce specimens worthy of coffee-table photo collections!

Seems like growers are always behind on potting too. Every time I get caught up it seems like there is a sale and then I get carried away again. I am thinking of recruting family members to help.

I can not keep up with our orchids. They grow and somehow either I adopt, buy, or am gifted new ones along the way. I think it is just an on going process. Recruiting family members to help is an idea, Pat. Let me know if you figure that one out!! haha...

Maura, you are doing such a great job with your orchids. Even these that still need a bit of work - look so good!! Keep up the great work!

    Cheers,
    BD

You know, family is always dangerous territory to tread upon. When I recruited my husband, Phillip, to help me with my orchids, he fell victim to the addiction, is in the process of amassing a collection of angraecums et al, and is asking ME to help him. I don't know about anyone else. but I've never seen an addiction spread like an epidemic before - orchids have some special power over us, I think. Back to work.....

But now you can have twice the orchids enjoyed by twice the people, and here's where math gets fuzzy, but that's a whole lot of orchid happiness!
