Today, I am already happier than a clam at high tide! After 6 weeks of separation, I am going to retrieve my 60 or so charges and bring them home.

And, on top of that, Phillip and I have begun a series of "art shots" of our two new Siamese fighting fish (they are both male and in separate tanks). We're using them to work with some more photography techniques - believe me - orchids are MUCH better at staying still during portraiture.

Pictured below are "Barrett" - (after Elizabeth Browning - nee Barrett) (no, Barrett doesn't know he's named after a woman poet) and "Gordon" - (after George Gordon, Lord Byron).






So far, I'm kicking 'round the cobblestones, looking for fun and feeling groovy......

In France, french fries (les " frites ", en français) are not french but... belgian... to eat with mussels and served with a good beer.

If french fries are not french, all the french are not like that... fortunately...
