Ok, well that's not really the name of it... but seeing as it is autumn here and this one should be flowering in spring....
Cheers
Tim
Dendrobium (King Wong x Zip) x Red River
Very pretty Bruce !
That is nice. That flower looks big.
Tim-
I love the shape... do you know what species originally went into the hybridization here?
Matt
Matt-e: this is what the family tree looks like
<[kingianum x {speciosum x (kingianum x fleckerii)}] x [kingianum x {tetragonum x (kingianum x speciosum)}]> x [{(kingianum x tetragonum) x (fleckerii x falcorostrum)} x (speciosum x fleckerii)]
But I don't know how to figure out parentage percentage... but those are pretty staple cold tolerant dendrobiums from Oz.
Kev: umm, ok, well I was walking around with a ruler going "how long is that in inches" and TOH happening upon me whilst I am in this deep thought process goes, "you know size don't matter"
GRRRRR!!! ..
the flower is an inch and a half wide.
Cheers
Tim
I know it doesn't (right!!)
You can post measurements in cm. We won't hate you.
Very nice dend! Wish I was having that kind of succes with dendrobiums. The only one I am doing good with is still a little keiki growing up. Thanks for posting it!

I'm not sure what to say:
nice clear colors, interesting lip,
and that unusual shape!
wow, what an impression,
thanks for sharing!
Timbo, um...well...ya know...you can always give the cardinal size without specifying units...
Besides, cardinals are noted for the protrusive peckers.
That is, um...well...ya know...their beaks.
Julie
Pretty flower there!
I also have a messed up den nobile. its pushing out spikes now, but should only flower in spring (sept). what is wrong with it?? they cant be keikis, cos there are about 8 spikes beginning to grow.
