As far as the brown spots are concerned, if you could post a pic, it would be easier to get help...what dendrobium are you growing?

What type of fertilizer would you recommend for a mounted dendrobium?
I'm seeing fairly strong root growth, but brown spots on the leaves, is this indicative of anything?
thanks in advance.

It's a Dendrobium Kingianum "Bardo Rose"
Here's a picture of the leaves:
The plant seems overall happy, very good new root growth, the root tip has doubled in size, at least.
Any thoughts?
Shameless bump in hope someone knows what's up with my poor Dend!
Looks like some kind of bug damage, Sam. Not sure. Here is another I would spray it with insecticide to be safe.
cheers,
BD
I'll have to pick some up, i'll see if that helps.
There hasn't been any new damage, but the old damage isn't being repaired.
The roots are still growing like weeds however...
I think bruce has it right...The damage is permanent. Well, at least until the plant sheds those leaves.

Awww, would that suggest that the cane is dead? Or just damaged?
They drop their leaves naturally. New growth replaces old and as they age, the older ones are no longer manufacturing food, so they die off.
