Thanks Alex. I'm learning a lot about these magnificent plants from you guys.

I have been using a 20-14-13 fertiliser with no urea until buds appear. Does that sound about right? Thanks again for your help.
Thanks Annette, When I repot it I plan on just separating the small plant that is sharing the pot and then repotting the larger division in the same size pot. That should give it a little extra room to grow. I hope it does as well when it blooms again. Just beginner's luck I think. But I'm learning.
It's gorgeous! If you've had it for three years and it gave you that display, just keep on doing what you're doing!

Beuatiful orchid, and amazing display!!!! You must be doing everything right...congrats!!!!
Thanks Kathi, I'm trying to remember exactly what I've been doing with it for the last 3 or 4 years. I found in laying in the grass beside the parking lot in my old apartment when one of my neighbors moved out. I think it had one or two leaves and very few roots. One of my neighbors had some bark chip potting medium so I just stuck it in that and started watering it. But I don't remember how often. Never fertilised it until it started to grow new shoots. I really knew nothing about growing orchids. The only feeding it got was sometimes spraying it with bloom booster. When it started to make spikes and buds this summer I really got interested and joined this forum. So everything I've learned has been from the people here. I guess the conditions in Stuart FL must be ideal for this kind of Dend. Now I've got four rescue Catts. Thanks again for all the help. I'm really enjoying this.
Your story just reinforces that sometimes orchids do best without too much fussing over them!
