Here are a few of the wild flowers that bloom at this time of the Year (Christmas) in Barbados.
The First Pic. is "Pride of Barbados". It is our National flower, and appears on our Coat of Arms. Barbados celebrated it's 45th year of Independence from Great Britain on the 30th Nov. 2011.
The others are blooms from the wayside.

All lovely Angela
I have a couple of small trees of "Pride of Barbados" and just love them and so do the hummingbirds.
The last picture...those little flowers would be in my garden. Very pretty! Is the "Pride of Barbados" a type of Hibiscus? That would look great in my backyard!
One of the reasons I used to love to go to Jamaica was the amazing plants. If I were still able to fly, i'm thinking Barbados would be on my list of "places to visit". Your flowers are lovely!
Growing up in south Tampa we had a huge hedge of Barbados Cherry. We would make ourselves sick eating them.
Wondering if you have Pride of Barbados 'Pink'? I've looked for it for sometime.
What beautiful flowers...just love the colours to...
