First bloom. It really is way more blue but is just so hard to capture.

Beautiful. I really like the coerulea tessellations.
Thanks guys! With the cool weather it is maddening slow to get fully opened blooms. I was happy with the color on this one. There is the best hint of orange at the base of the lip.

Gorgeous, Cathy - and nice shots, too! Have you tried shooting it in natural light? Sometimes that gives more accurate color. And don't forget to set your white balance if it's not in Auto mode.
That actually was in natural light but in the shadehouse. I'm still learning this camera. I'm excited to be taking a photography class after the first of the year. Thanks for the advice!
