    Cool Caulocattleya Chantilly Lace 'Twinkle'

Back when I first began buying orchids, I had gotten this cross and loved how easy it is to grow and bloom...not to mention the flowers are lovely and give off a wonderful perfume. The original got buggy and died...but I found a replacement several months ago. This is it's second blooming for me. The flowers bloom with a pale lemon yellow background that eventually turns white.

    Wow! That's a happy plant.

Seeing your tall spike loaded with buds, I wonder how unhappy mine is. It bloomed a couple times, but with short spike and single flower.

    Lovely flowers, Connie.

It has 'spots', which I like. It give out 'fragrance', which makes much better.

Thank you e1... I recently changed fertilizers on the advice of a couple smart ladies from this group. Since I changed how I was fertilizing, what I was using and started spraying more often I began getting these results. If it weren't for this website and friends from here, i'd still be killing everything.

Very nice, Connie! This one has been on my wishlist for a while. I am very surprised at how tall that spike is -- the others I have seen were much shorter.

Wow, Connie - what a pretty bloom - and a very stately spike! Never heard of it before, but what else is new - I'm learning as fast as I can. I do know I haven't seen one of these along my orchid-hunting expeditions, but I'll be looking out for it!

I always love seeing this orchid in bloom. The name makes me smile too.
