    Smile Lotus shower heads

Gilda, how long does it take for the seeds in the shower heads to mature? Do they need to go through a cold spell before you plant them?

We have several shower heads now.....

Hmmmmm..you got me on that ? I really don't know, since we don't "plant" them. I am assuming in nature they drop into the water and "plant " themselves ! So they probably would get a cold spell. Sorry ........

Well, I'll wait till the shower heads are all brown and dry, however long that is, and then the seeds should be ready. Will be nice if they actually take.....

Louis, Hubby says seeds are very difficult to propagate. You might google and find specific info....good luck !

    Thanks!

After hearing that, you *know* I'm going to have to give it a try.

We love this plant, Gilda. Thanks again for sending it.

WE do Gilda! It is grown so much over the summer. The blooms are amazing. I think how nice it was that you sent it to us every time I see it in bloom! Thanks!

    Cheers!

i heard that the seeds were very easy to propagate, and that they germinate in only 11 minutes.

Does anyone have the 'King of Siam' nymphae?

    I waited 11 minutes.

    I waited 11 hours.

    No germination yet.

Maybe I'm expecting too much "Jack and the Beanstalk" activity here?
