    Default Bulbophyllum beccarii

I previously had this beauty but it died 2,5 years ago. Now I've got a nice seedling. My previous plant was mounted. I have not decided yet how to grow this one, so I use plastic pot & sphagnum moss for now with VERY much of shipping popcorn as a drenaige.
Here is my new little one:

here's the secret for this one: mount it with LOT of sphagnum and put LOT of sphagnum on the leaves like it was an ice cream cone (you will see the roots fill the cone)! dont be afraid with rot as long as there is a bit ventilation. keep it warm (above 18° at night and let the temp be as high as possible during the day, but sphag have to stay wet. medium light.
    it can grow very fast!!!!!!!
most people lost them because they think it rot, but in fact, when temp goes to low or when sphag don't stay wet, leaves are turning black like they rotted...

i can show you mine (favorit specie, i got many)

Good luck with it. Keep it moist! I let mine die from being too dry.

    cheers,

I wonder if you ever re-potted them? ( I mean re-mounted of course). They look really great. I like how you mounted them. I am afraid I don't have proper materials now. I don't want to use tree fern slabs this time . All what I have now available is this:
may be I should cut it and put two halves together?

Thank you Ronan. Now, I understand your "ice cream cone".
