Default Tall Phal with keikis from the main stem

ok ive let a phal do wat it wants to do for 5 years...never repotted...now it looks like a vanda except roots cover the "bare"stem.....it has 2 keikis as large as d parent and in spike too.....wat is the best thing to do?? leave the plant as is (8 inches tall) or try to separate and lose many roots?

It is up to you really. Some enjoy allowing the plant to "go wild" and grow how it wants. I think it makes for a much happier plant when you stop dividing them. It is really up to you though and if you have the space to let it go wild. I'd love to see a picture...

will post pics soon...i like to let them grow natural......phals i let hang down so no water colllects in the crown...i also do not use bark as the media which breaks down....in my opinion orchids for the most part grow on living trees for years...if u cant mount dem then a mixture of clay crock, gravel and charcoal is the long term solution
