    Too much water can be a cause to turn your leaves yellow and mushy. Be sure you check the roots as well. If the roots are black and mushy just trim them off. Slow down the watering and make sure your orchids is drying out in between watering the plant.

    Too much water is probably why I'm a Phal. killer. SO, I'm going to try mounting a couple soon.

    Yup- if you really can't be lazy like me about watering- I reckon you are safer if you mount them!
