VeEERRRRY interesting. I don't know what it is , but beautiful.
The leaves certainly look like an orchid, but little old me has never seen an orchid with stamens like this before. I eagerly await input from others more knowledgeable Than me.

Tom is right. Some of our local E ornata have bright orange-red bracts that are very eye-catching but the flowers are small and unattractive and do not fully open.

8 years into the hobby and even after so much serious reading, orchids continue to fascinate me with their amazing diversity of forms ! I had never known that an orchid could have such beautiful bracts ! Nice one Shane, make sure you give this beauty all care you can.

I think our whole life we will keep learning something new about orchids without loosing the fascination, isn't it a very bright prospect ?
