    Default My new hanging garden

I purchased some clay pot clamps last weekend and now I have most of my orchids suspended from my arbor. First started as an idea to deal with ants and bugs but now I find that I like them much better this way!

Nice, very nice. Are those love birds in the back ground? This would be a great place to try your hand at a vanda or an alliance, do you have any interest in them?

I have 6 of them now, the middle row in the first pic has 5 of the 6 Vandas I've purchased within the last two weeks. I should have started with one to try my hand at it first but since I don't have patience like that I dove into the deep end instead!

Yes those are my lovebirds that flew into my backyard about a year ago!!

Looks great! That arbor looks like it gives perfect light! Do I see a misting hose attached to the arbor?

Yes that is a misting hose. I have two running now, there is a second on a perpendicular beam for some schombo mounts. I am sure I will expand my misting system along all the sections that have orchids at some point.
