Default my new orchid..could you take a look at her root?

Hi, I am newbie here and I always learn so many things here really appreciate it friends!
Recently I decided to order from new vendor I found, and here is the picture..

I always had left over rescue phals from my close relative who owns a small nursery, because no one wants the phal without flowers, so they end up in trash bin after 'water- every day abuse'. the nursery carry mostly fruit tree and house plant and some orchid, so workers
just hose the phals with them....which is disaster.

so, I am familiar with those nasty black rot on roots.
when I un potted my vandrea newberry jasmine, it had some black spots and the stem area
was so black and mushy..two lower leaves fell off after i took a picture!

I sent the pictures with email to the vendor and he said it is BRUISE that commonly plants
get. is this true? can orchid get black bruise on their root and stem?

I was really said she came in poor condition.
I am so tired sending and getting emails with the vendor because he keeps saying
    the orchid looks good.
I would like to hear your opinion too..what do you think?
maybe I am too paranoid about fungus

and my english is not that good.. please pardon may bad grammar...hehe

wash out those roots.....do not worry.....sanitize by soaking the whole plant in a solution of Physan etc....and let dry overnight...re pot in a small pot as possible and monitor closely....who knows the kinda rough handling that it was subjected to...mist the plant often....keep the humidity and air movement constant....and above all avoid overwatering...it should be fine...also i can foliar feed

If you give your orchid the right growing conditions, it should be fine. If you have Physan 20 or another fungicide, you can treat the roots with that. If not, you could dust a little cinnamon on it. Even if you don't treat the roots at all, it will probably be OK. Those tiny seedlings can be very frustrating because they take a long time to get to blooming size. You may want to consider buying blooming size orchids in the future. That's just a suggestion. Good luck.

thank you for your reply, king kjeldz and Jeff!
I soaked it in physan solution for about 10 min as soon as I checked the root.
    hope it will be ok..
I think it was good thing I ordered only one from this vendor though
