    Default Indoor growing stand/light

Can anyone recommend a good indoor growing stand/light? I'm looking for a 3 or 4 tier stand.

My current orchid collection is 7-9 orchids but am looking to expand to 12-15. I also have a small cactus and violet collection.

Thank you for your assistance.. it is greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks!
    Scott

Scott - how much do you want to spend? The complete set-ups that you can buy are pretty expensive...

well, good question.. i've seen some setups in the 200-300 range. I'm looking at this as a long term investment.

I just moved into a new house and don't have any good growing windows.

    thanks!!

Yes - for 4 shelves with lighting fixture, 300 sounds about right. If you are handy you can do it yourself for a lot less, but you need to be really handy. I've been shopping around myself, as my collection has outgrown my good indoor space - I'm up to about 75 orchids, dozen + AVs.

    Default shelving

i got my metal shelving from lowe's. its actually 4 shelves (total height=
about 72 inches) but, i set it up for 2 shelves to give enough space for
spikes (cost $42). I have enough east light at this time and, preparing to buy 2-4 flourescent fixtures with 2 bulbs for each fixture. i planned to move my growing set to the basement soon.

I think I may also build my own. What type of bulbs and how much wattage per area do I need?

    Thanks!
