    Default Paph. phillippinense x lowii

One of my favorite paphs---to be honest they are all my favorites. Never saw one I didn,t love. This one is about at the end of its bloom cycle so decides to photograph it before is was finished with it's blooms. Was suprised that it bloomed this time a year. These usually bloom late winter/early spring for me.

Awesome ! I am thinking that lowii hybrids are freeblooming. Blooming on every new growth. Lowii has been known to bloom through out the year.

Really nice Berenice, Bill. I had a young one in Feb-March that, naturally, didn't have the stature of yours, but I love how the lowii shape plays off the phillippinense. I always find myself with a conundrum on staking the multiflorals - one trick I have heard is not to stake them at all until the first bloom has set - then you leave the others to arc naturally. What do you think?
