    Default Tropical Storm Isaac

    Dear friends (Floridians at first),

how do you feel about coming TS? They've changed status from TD to TS just today. We already have a very unfriendly weather with heavy rains every afternoon. As for today, it started to rain at 2.30 pm and never completely stopped. All yards and sidewalks are like swamp now. If you walk around you feel tons of water under grass carpet. I worry about my plants, of course. I have lost a few precious Catts after TS Debby and I wonder what Isaac would bring...

Isaac is passing through Puerto Rico between tomorrow and Thursday. We've had rain all day today. The governor has just announced that there will be no classes or work tomorrow. We are all getting ready. It may become a hurricaine type 1 by tomorrow, which will make things worse. Let's see what happens. My plants will go inside if Isaac continues the predicted path. Right now they are safe and dry (out of the rain). Tomorrow will be a busy day with all the preparations. I haven't been able to sleep yet...

I remember we have members from Dominican Republic.. I don't know if we have anyone from Haiti... I wish to everyone who lives in the path of Isaac all the best and to be safe.

It looks like it could be a direct hit to South Florida. They're calling for it to be category 1 hurricane by then.

Carmen and Angela, stay safe and I hope your orchids aren't damaged. Please give us Floridians a report after the storm passes.

Lost another section of my shade house roof while on vacation. I had sprayed all with systemic fungicides and left hoping for the best. My best friends came over a resprayed. Here is hoping for the best.

Sometimes the announcements are even worse, as it turns out, and I do wish it will be like that this time too. I'd like this Isaac past your country without injured people, property, animals and plants. I keep fingers crossed!
