I prefer knowing its name but if it is compelling, and I have learned if you see a hybrid orchid for sale you like, you better buy it right then. You may never see it again. Some species orchids are also difficult to find.

Most of my NoID's are grocery store buys. Now, with more experience, I look for tags quickly before I get too attached.

I dont love noids, but have mostly noids because most vendors dont put tag on hybrid and sometimes on species too. Today i went flower shopping and there was a yellow orchid and i asked whats the name and seller said: its a species orchid. Then i asked, but whats the name,.. she said: species. (Looking at me as if i never heard the word species and she is all expert). Just that. (Many places like this, only say this is species, this is hybrid). A few weeks ago i went to an big open land that only sells flowers. Then i pointed a purple flower and asked whats that? The seller answered: "its a flower". Just stared at the guy couldnt believe what i heard. So i'll live with noids till i figure out the name someday. If ever.

If I like it I buy it. I don't look for a specific breed when I rescue a dog either. Who cares?! Some of my favorites are the no ID mutts.
