Anyone who has seen Cathy's V Mimi Palmer hybrids will remember how truly beautiful they are - rich vibrant colour. I attribute that to the superior clone of Mimi Palmer 'Teo Boon Hian' used in the crossing. The Mimi Palmer hybrids I have seen here are nothing to shout about, mostly dull coloured and the only saving grace is the fragrance inherited from V tessellata . This cross MP x Kultana Gold is no exception. This particular plant was a present from a nursery and a selected one at that! You can imagine what the others must look like. I hope the nursery man doesn't see this post or I may never get another free gift from him again.

Very nice and fragrant too. Doesn't seem too bad to me.
I like it very pretty
It is a yellow Mimi Palmer. Very nice!
If you call this one average, the rest must be crap. Cathy's crosses are bred to give the color they are, the yellow V. Kultana Gold isn't the strongest in passing on color, putting it onto Mimi Palmer didn't help.
Unless the photo has enhanced the flower completely, I reckon its alright.
You know, Yew - sometimes I get so frustrated that even my favorite paphs have no fragrance, I would GLADLY welcome a cheery yellow vanda with a nice scent!
Yew Sung, I don't have many yellows but I would definitely purchase this one. I really like the color and the nice tessellation. Some of my MP crosses have lost their wild look while yours has retained it. Bravo...its a keeper in my humble opinion.
I love the yellow of this vanda cross. Such a beautiful bloom.
cheers,
BD
