I do not smell anything yet. The color MAY be due to the flash of the camera. It's not really THAT intense.

Grrrreat colour! Yours seems to come from a slightly more intensely coloured clone perhaps... (mine is a bit more pink) Is yours scented too?

Oh I see. Well then it sounds like the same clone, and the perfume WILL develop in time (and boy do their blooms last!)
Thanks for that info! She's definitely a beauty!
WOW! On the color!!!
Tommy - that's such a great orchid to have in bloom, you should start your own thread in this forum so that everyone can pick it up on the slideshow.
I know this is a very old post, but I have to ask. Are you growing the nelly isler with the window shade down, or was that just for photo?
Gorgeous!
The Europ Dan dealers always seemed to have a mass o fthesefor sale at every show I went to, but I notice that in the last year or two they have disappeared. I remember way back many years ago, another red oncidium type hybrid was the same , and when I realisedI had lost mine Itried very hard to get another, but was told “no, they have gone through the system”. Soifyou have a Nelly, take good care of her, you may not be able to get another.
