Oncidium not flowering

I have had these 2 oncidiums for 2 years now, and I know they usually grow like weeds. I don't know what type the non-flowering ones are (they are smaller than the Spacelatum), they were given to me by a friend. But 3 metres away, is the Oncidium Spacelatum, which is in flower and does so every Spring, but not this one. Can anyone give me any idea, why they aren't blooming? They all receive a lot of light all day, under the entertainment area.

I like your oncidium sphacelatum & Jack!! I suspect that since these are oncidiums and they are blooming size (mature enough to bloom) and are not - they need more light. I would move these to a location that gets much more light. Many oncidiums can bloom in lower light and will, some however, need much brighter light - almost cattleya orchid light levels.

Since I posted this thread nearly 11 months ago, movement is occurring with this Oncidium. I have had this orchid (never flowered) for 3 years and now 2 stalks are there. Oh my! I can't wait for the flower. I will post when it flowers. I don't think it is a Spacelatum, as these orchids flower willy nilly in my garden.

I certainly will follow up with flowers. We love Jack too. 12 years old and he still loves jumping through hoops.

Congrats!!! Annette what did you change in the culture to get it to spike for you?

I just don't know, maybe moving them several times (light/sun) shadow, who knows. I moved all 150 orchids, from my previous house, to my daughters' then permanently to here, awaiting my new shade house. I was just ready to dispose of them. I might add, I have 2 of these oncidiums, the other a smaller one, hasn't spiked yet. Same treatment as the other Dancing Ladies. 1st picture is the one in question. 2nd is my Dancing Ladies in spike. I have noticed the 1st one is lighter in colour. Can't wait for the flowers.
