I made a little picture journey for my Bllra. Marfitch "Howads Dream". It took from 12.1.12 to 1.31.13 for the bloom to develop fully and open up. This gives new orchid members an idea how long it takes for the spike and bloom to develop. Hope you like it.
This process took from 12.1.12 to 1.27.13. I will post the full bloom in next post as we can only attach 4 pictures each post.

Very nice. I keep resisting the urge to get one of these but the more I see it the harder it is not to get one.
Very pretty! Gave mine to a friend and he killed it. Would love a new one.

Beautifully photographed. Had one and killed it. It doesn't like the hot lowlands/
I love the beautiful pattern and dark color, thanks for the comments.
Wow, the beautiful blooms are definitely worth the wait. Are they hard to grow?
One of my all time favorites. Yours is lovely. I would never want to be without a Howard!
That is a beautiful flower and the plant looks fabulous also!
