    Default Cattleya mossiae v coerulea

Not much coerulea effect with this but such an elegant flower. This is the 1st one on this plant.

You should be happy for the shape of this one Chris.

I have one mossiae var. coerulea as well and although some of my orchid friends like it I think it looks a bit like a dragon, aggressive dragon even.

Magnificent, especially against the small stature of the plant itself.

Thanks folks! I have two other mossiae but the petals are more erect with this one and don't roll back like the others.

Haven't seen too many flowers of this with a blue/ish flower, more the lip I think. This is a much better flower than many I've seen also. I'd be happy to have it.

I've just seen one very much like this described as Cattleya mossiae coerulea 'Canaima # 3' x self on an online seller's website. Almost an exact duplicate, although I am not an expert on Cattleya Mossiae certainly. In fact I've never grown one, so I wouldn't know the plant from Adam if I saw it. The shape on these is certainly nice compared to most Mossiae I have seen.
