Modine or Southern Burner Heater?

Mine is a propane heater, and I have had no issues.

Incomplete combustion is most due to the presence of soot on the burner, so a good cleaning and periodic tuning of the air/fuel mixture is likely to prevent it.

I have one of the heaters like you have Ray I had trouble with the pilot light on it going out also when it turns off and on can smell LP had it checked by 2 people that install heaters .. I do not like it at all . I ordered an Empire heater made in Ill. it has a double vent one takes out the other takes in fresh . If anyone is interested to know where I got it send me a private message Thanks to all for the feedback ..
