Default Seed pods for Renanthera x Encyclia Gay Rabbit (I think)

So I believe I have a fluke cross the took place on my deck. I have an Encyclia Gay Rabbit in bloom next to a Renanthera Storiei. The Encyclia has two seed pods forming so I am assuming some insect help with the cross. Should I try and grow the seeds? The only other orchid in bloom at the time was a Catt but was not close to either of the two. The pair in question are side by side.

    Hi Miller,
This cross is incompatible as they are different genera, what happened is the Encyclia was self pollinated by an insect, also likely the Cattleya pollinated it, or less likely if they did cross (with Renanthera), the pods will abort soon. Hope that helps you.

Sorry to disappoint you, Miller - I have to agree with Ryan.

Since it is so questionable as to what the cross may have been (though as Ryan & Yew told you, it is most likely a selfing) it would not be worth the time, effort, or money to grow the seeds.
