    Cool Brassavola perrinii

This one bloomed again this year inspite of looking a little dehydrated. I find the Brassavola flowers and their hybrids to have the prettiest shapes and I like the simple color. They have a scent that is just wonderful at night.

Love the color & shape of the blooms. Looks like it likes to spread out, not a small plant. Have Fun, Rich

The leaves are actually not as large as they seem in the picture. They are very thin and easily fit in between the vandas. Brassavola nodosa on the other hand gets quite large and can be a space eater.

Maybe this plant is blooming again because it is a little dehydrated.
Some species need a dry period to bloom.

I have trouble with Brassavola getting too dried out in my care too. Most of the ones I have are mounted and they just don't do so well. I love the blooms on this one, Connie.

    cheers,
    BD
