I'm rather proud of this Paph as it is a very regular bloomer. Among my friends I seem to be the only that has a plant that never fails to bloom; sometimes twice a year. When I bought it I was told that it might not bloom in our hot lowlands.
The flower is quite large, with a wing span of 5 1/2 inches. This bloom is past its prime and the rim of the of the pouch is showing signs of age.

Nicely photographed, Yew!
I have a soft spot for all the orchids in this family because I think they have a shy air and a very unassuming kind of beauty; so nice!
Congratulations for having free flowering one of the most difficult one in lowland glad to see this beauty.
Ooh... that's LOVELY!!!
I love how large the bloom is, and the "wings" have a very dramatic appearance! And the whole flower reminds me of a long-eared puppy for some reason... it's very charming!!! Another to go on my wish list...
What a huge slipper orchid bloom! I love it.
cheers,
