How cute! And fragrant too. I love fragrant orchids. However, there are some that are supposed to be fragrant but emit no fragrance in my garden. Perhaps the temperature is not right. I'm not sure but I think that for some orchids, the strength of the fragrance is dependent on the temperature.

So do I so far I'm very lucky most of the plants gazetted as a fragrant always never failed me after a full bloomed definitely perfume will be released however since I'm leaving in Equator the life span of flowers very shot due to lack of water (over perspiration's) Phals amabilis for example may last for few months but here after 3 weeks can see sign of wither subsequently dropped off.

Good for you, Zainal. Remember that Dendrobium cucullatum I posted? On the first day of blooming, there was no fragrance. Then in the afternoon of the second day, it became fragrant, quite fragrant in fact. On the third day and until now, it has lost its fragrance. There are still 5 blooms left on the stem 10 days after the first flower opened. It was only fragrant on the afternoon of the second day.

That is very odd/ bizarre Angel here almost everyday the fragrant you can smell it from morning till late noon until the flower change his color, I dont know what to say could be temperature, fertilizer and maybe your atmosphere which influence the chemical changes in the flowers.Never mine wait for the next season could be much better.

I hope so, Zainal. Some are consistently fragrant like the Vanda lamellata. Then some of the semi-terete vandas are most fragrant when the sun first strikes them in the morning. The rest of the day, the scent seems to diminish.
