struggling with Dossinia

struggling on care of my one dossinia marmorata. i've noticed that the largest leaf started to curl in. the dossinia is sitting in sphagnum moss. i also kept it in our bathroom; so i checked the root and and one spot it was mushy but the bottom half is still strong. not sure where to go or if it's possible to rebuild from the root? Or should I start hunting again?

if you have a good piece of the stem you can let it 'harden off' if you need to cut it by letting it sit in a shady spot to dry. they usually re-sprout. i've had these (and related species) do well in damp moss. there is however a horrible insect pest here that just kills off their leaves very quickly. so hard to keep alive. i have some growing again and am trying yet another systemic insect chemical. dossinia and other jewel orchids can be really amazing if allowed to form a nice clump in a shallow bowl type of pot. i'm thinking of trying some at my desk at work to see if they stay free of whatever this mystery bug is. it also gets into some of my cattleya related orchids. so far neem seems to keep them safer. but i'm afraid to use it much on the jewels.
