A Poll about Polls

Not sure if this will post right. Trying to post a poll. Ironically I thought it would be funny to post a poll about the polls.

Question: Do you ever specifically seek out new polls on the site.
1. Yes. Sometimes I even refresh my browser to get new polls to appear in the lobby.
2. Sometimes, but not often
3. Sometimes, depends on the day. Sometimes I just really enjoy sharing my opinion.
4. Never. Why waste my valuable time?

Honestly not sure how to answer this one. Do I "seek out polls?" No, not really. If they're there, will I look at them? Yes. Will I participate in them if they are right there in front of me? Usually, unless it is a topic I couldn't care the slightest bit about. Will I hunt for them after having cast my vote to see what others did? Sometimes but not often and I don't look all that hard to find the poll.

Being still a relative newbie to orchids, if I think there is info to learn from the poll or comments on the polls subject, I'm there.

I don't particularly seek out the polls but if they pop out while I'm browsing I'll participate. I think most of the polls here are interesting as they give us an insight into the people on this forum.

The biggest issue I see about polls in orchid forums is that they usually seek a definitive response to a question that really cannot be answered that way.

More than once I've seen "What is your favorite potting medium?" with a limited number of choices. Even if you narrow it to a specific genus - "...for phalaenopsis", let's say - that gives poor information because it takes into account NONE of the other cultural parameter that may affect ones choice!

When I happen to come across one, I participate but sometimes it's hard to answer because none of the options are 100% true. As long as people don't take the result as scientific result, it can't harm, I think.

I like to participate in polls and enjoy seeing the results. I don't seek them out, but when I see one posted, I'm usually one of the first to respond or participate - at least here in our community anyway.

actually, its not easy to design poll questions. also the selection of answers. there are some rules about it, if it's really meant to use as survey,... but if it's just for fun/entertainment, it's alright i like it. some polls here actually tells more about the answer of the poll maker by just looking at the question and answer choices.
