    Thumbs up Phal. mannii (mannii ' Black Forest' x self)

    This has been on my wish list for a while. Now I have it. It arrived today.

    This is a phal species orchid. Phal. mannii (mannii 'Black Forest' x self)

    Still not dark enough to look black like it did in the photo at the sellers. I am sure my camera flash has something to do with that. But I like it anyway.

    My previous order that arrived last week had been in process for 3 months (it was 7 plants).

    This was a new order with 2 plants.

    And what I hope is one of my last buys for a while, I was able to find a den harveyanum that is now mine.

    Very beautiful, try finding the clone 'Zart Bitter' if you want an even darker flower.

    Quite probable that the seller's lighting had a great deal to do with it.

    Unfortuantely, the flowers have already faded on me. It looks like a new bud is forming on the spike so I will let it grow.
