I love Phalaenopsis but I find it difficult to care for but I bought 12 of that last week. All in blooms but the 5 have bad roots it is potted in soft clear plastic pot with coco coir as potting medium. So after cleaning I repotted it in clay pot using CBC, charcoal and sphagnum moss because that would be safer and easier for me to avoid over watering. Will these change of potting medium affect the Phals? The 5 are in bad condition the leaves are not that firm which is how I bought it. I thought it was just really like that until I bought the other 7 that were healthy. But just the same , I used the CBC, charcoal and sphagnum moss medium.
Will these orchids be able to adjust? I am in a tropical country and these are in the east side but no direct sun.
They should adjust for you.
Hopefully they will adapt to your growing conditions. It might be good to remove the flowers so that they can focus on roots and leaves.
cheers,
