    I've had that also several times. When I see I have a typo or another kind of mistake and I want to correct it, the message is no longer edible. I don't know how long the 'edit' button is active. Perhaps the moderator could fix this and let the button be active always (as in other forums - or is it fori?)

    BD PM'ed me and stated it is editable for 24 hours only. So find your typos before the 24 hour period is up.

    Proof reading your own writing is exceedingly difficult. The brain is wired to know what you wrote is correct. Thank goodness for the squiggly red lines under misspelled words!
