Yes, the entries received were all delightful, and the bribe offered is really terrific, I LOVE Peterson Guides..... But, I decided not to go with the bribe (maybe we could work out some other trade, Julie). So it was a tough decision...

Ptaszek; I've been a graduate student, so I know how tough it is - although I worked full time and attended grad school full time so I couldn't even think about having a lot of 'chids back then..

ATester; I love the idea of flasking seeds and donating seedlings, something I'll never be able to do, but it takes soooooo long...

Orchidilerium; Stem propagation is something I learned about a long time ago (I think they called it meristemming???? or mericlone?) but will never be able to do either...

    SO

I'm taking the easy way out...

Orchidilerium, the Bellina goes to you, and if you get successful propagation, give one to ATester.

ATester, if you want it, how about a Phal equestris, it needs a new home and is a species, and hopefully will bloom again under your care and you can pollinate and collect seed and flask away....

Ptaszek, you have a baby bellina, so I think a nice mature plant that is going to bloom will be more of an inspiration to the bellina, and more enjoyable for you. So how about a nice non-species little phal I have...

You guys PM me with your mailing addresses and I will get your prizes on their way to you!!

    Woohoo!
Thank you so much Diane, I have to admit, when I entered your contest, I never expected to win. With the construction of my new much larger greenhouse starting in the morning, I'll have plenty of room to raise lots of clones and share them with all of you at my online orchid sanctuary!
This gives me an idea as well, I think when my new vanilla planifolia cuttings take root, I'll offer a few up in the same fashion...

    Default Wow

Thank you Diane! Wow, I have never won anything before (well, except maybe my wife's affection which is a prize in itself). Thank you! A Phal equestris would be most welcome. I will post drawings of course

You should print out that posting and give it to your wife on Valentines Day! That's really so nice to hear, a loving couple.... Just don't let the flasking come between you - or maybe she is your lab tech?

She would probably be a great lab tech (considering she works in an eye glasses lab)...I think she'd do it as long as she could be my evil labtech

Don't forget Frankensquirrel... (the product of a German evil lab tech - with a basement lab.)
