Thank you so much all! When I first got interested in orchids I lived with my parents. Dad always supported me in anything I did and so we built a small 8' X 8' greenhouse. That filled so quickly that we "added" a 16" X 16" to it. Dad always spent time in it with me and enjoyed it so much. After I got married he stopped heating it but still used it for starting seeds for his garden and taking Azalea cuttings. The years passed. I married, divorced, and remarried. At the beginning of last year Dad had an accident that left him in a wheelchair and unable to care for himself. I became his 24/7 caregiver. It was both one of the most rewarding and difficult times of my life. Dad developed difficulties and passed on Dec. 2 at a wonderful age of 89. We talked so much during that year and he told me that it would be nice to build another greenhouse. He left me a nice amount of money - enough to help us a bit and to build my dream. Thank you Dad. I love you so much. I just wanted all of you to share the story of how I came to build the greenhouse and I guess how I got to this point.
