Hi Debbie,
I use sphagnum moss for all my paphs, but I know I'm in the minority.
I just wanted to warn you that brachy and parvi roots are very fragile, and will break off if you look at them too hard. Be careful!
Julie

I have never repotted this one out of fear. What do others use for this type of paph? Small bark ok? Anyway, I have had it for about 1 1/2 years and only just rebloomed it.

Yikes!
I have the same plant, and mine is in small bark mixed with a little sphag on the top inch of the pot.... Mine blooms well, don't be afraid of giving it a little extra light. Nice bloom on yours.
Very nice blooms.

Beeyootifulll!!! I just love the colour and markings of this Paph!
I rarely use my steely glint for the orchids (unless they're half a root away from the salad shooter...) Particularly when repotting, my expression is usually one of implored begging.Originally Posted by Diane
I'm pretty careful when repotting, especially with paphs, but boy - I've had several brachy and parvi primary hybrids release healthy roots into my hands, when I've done nothing...NOTHING!
It's seldom I can claim such innocence, so you can imagine my consternation.

Hmmm Innocence = Julie????? I don't think so......
Very lovely bloom! These brachy paphs are ones of my favorites among ladyslippers!
Cheers. Hoa.
