Default Paph Liemianum- A Photo Essay

I bought this beautiful paph as my first paph by viewing a photo of the flower alone (and on the advice of the nursery worker, Hannah). It was thought to be ready to spike. It sent out a new leaf before it did spike and it was after about 2 months that it bloomed. The underside of the foliage is very mottled.

I, being new to orchids and paphs in particular, this was a new and inspiring experience to watch. I took a series of photos along the way to document the spike on this plant. I believe this is the first time this orchid has ever flowered.

Gorgeous!!! I've seen some of this type in bloom for 8 months or more as it produces flower after flower.

    Hi,

I don't have a paph in bloom yet. Does it bloom from the same plant or would it grow from a new fan ?.
