lovely, i want one haha. is it true that bulbos hate hard water?

some bulbo really need calcium and magnesium to grow (bulbo reticulatum does), just like many paphiopedilum. But like other orchids they don't like salts buildup and instable Ph. Cal/mag additions help to keep the media stable. Bulbo prefer to grow in low Ph media but once it start to breack down or if you're not able to control it, it can become toxic easely. Then you have to repot (or see your plant dying). But bulbo a tough plants!!!

I just received my first Bulbophyllum Sanguineopunctatum - it arrived in a tiny 2" dark green plastic pot. The medium seems to some sort of very tight (and wet) moss. HELP???? What do I do with it? It is about one year away from blooming. Should I mount it, or re-pot into a mesh basket with moss and Orchiata? I am really at a loss!!

I water with R/O and use Akerne R/O to fertilize
