If you are wondering what a fungal infection looks like, here it is. This plant arrived a year ago and immediately began looking ill with spots appearing on every leaf. A regular regimen of spraying and this year I have a couple nice healthy new leads. I used to lose a ton of orchids to this type of infection and bacterial rotting. I now spray every week, alternating between bug and infection treatments with another separate spray for fertilizer. It makes a huge difference...as this plant shows.
One other tip: Change up your bug sprays and fungal/bacterial chemicals, so they don't get immune. I use a "take down" spray that will kill on contact and a second "systemic" that kills bugs down the road as they chew on the leaf; both those and the fungal treatments get switched between different brands about once a year.
