The first plant is definitely an encyclia. However, I am not so familiar with all of the encyclia species. What I see as unusual is the purple striatations on the lips. However, if I have to guess, I will put your plant in as possible Encyclia belizensis. This species is quite readily available to people in the US, so there is a good chance that one ends up with you! There are a lot of variations within this species so I post two pictures for you to compare.
The second could be a variation of the epidendrum radicans. Over here, we have red, orange, yellow, purle forms of this epidendrum species all over the places although the possibility of a hybrid of some sort can not be eliminated.
