I hope someone can help me hang a tag on this little jewel



and, I know this is an epidendrum, but beyond that . . . ??



I'd appreciate any help getting ID on these,

The first plant is definitely an encyclia. However, I am not so familiar with all of the encyclia species. What I see as unusual is the purple striatations on the lips. However, if I have to guess, I will put your plant in as possible Encyclia belizensis. This species is quite readily available to people in the US, so there is a good chance that one ends up with you! There are a lot of variations within this species so I post two pictures for you to compare.
The second could be a variation of the epidendrum radicans. Over here, we have red, orange, yellow, purle forms of this epidendrum species all over the places although the possibility of a hybrid of some sort can not be eliminated.

According to Botanica's Orchids by Laurel Glen, pg 263 second plant seem to be Epidendrum schomburgkii. Only, the one in the book is more orange. If you have the book check it out.

Many thanks to both of you for your help.

Seeing the variations in the Enc. belizensis, I feel that is quite likely what I have.
I had been wondering about Enc. dickinsoniana.

I'm continuing to look into the Epidendrum,
I agree that mine seems to be more of a pure yellow than the schomburgkii photos I've run across.
