    Thanks Harvey!
I just hope its not fusarium, Ksriram said roots drying up fast in this case. But on mine i dont see fast process.
These dried roots on vanda in question appears to ve those roots that it came with in glass vase i think in store they were standing too long in water residue so when it came ro my home i transfered it in basket maybe thats why they got this way.
On another hand i see root grows.
Clearys 3366 is pretty pricy... Or its just brand thing. In reality its just 2% thiophanate-methyl solution. Im sure there are cheaper versions of it.

It is going to be a delicate job to remove roots from basket since they have grown through it....

I have 2 Vanda's. Both are in a plastic tube. I think if I have success with Vanda's here in Colorado, outside of a greenhouse, the tube will be necessary. Mine have added a new leaf of 2 since I have had them. I got them a bit of sunburn out on the deck early in the spring when I put them out one day.

I recently removed the dried, dead roots from the Vandas. The good roots have green tips. So I think they are progressing forward.

Change in the environment could cause the drying up of the roots. With respect to health of vanda, there two important parameters I look for

    1. the root tips (green or brown) should always be present, if the root tip vanishes then there is something wrong with the Vanda
    2. leaves should continue to grow and the leaf size should be bigger or atleast same size as that of the previous leaves.

if either of these are impacted then there is some thing that is making the Vanda upset

It opened first bud, the size is smaller than previous blooms but i guess its due to problems with the roots.

Should i cut spike off to help it recover?!

This is a little off topic. I recently bought my first vanda last week. When it arrived I wanted to give it some water and I noticed that the roots at the vary are thin like a twig and snapped off like one as well. I noticed the seller and he said that it's normal for older roots to due that.? Is he telling me the truth or just Joshing me to avoid a return sale.
