Default Paphiopedilum Henrietta's Charm losing buds

I was gifted paphiopedilum Henrietta's Charm ( fujiwara x delenatti ) for finishing my first year of school. The buds started opening but one dropped. It's still yellow and not brown. I'm wondering if this is common in paphs or if it's likely mechanical damage from transport home from the orchid show? I will resize some photos soon to post but I think the plant is healthy.

My only paph bud failure was due to the clip being too tight around the spikes stem. Now I don't clip them. I use a cushioned wire to make a 'hook' that I let the spike rest on.

Thanks Harvey. There isn't a clip around the spike so I am not sure what happened. Also I am not sure if part of the stem (not the stem that the bud fell off of though) was bad when I got it or it happened after I got it but there is a brown part. Here are a couple of pictures of the paph. Name: Paph LSOH.jpg

There was a change in humidity as it came from inside of a greenhouse and is now in my sun room with about 60 to 70% humidity. I have a fan going on on low in the room during the hottest part of the day. I read an article that said I should mist the paph leaves everyday and then another one that said that I should not mist the leaves so I am not sure what to do.

I have a very small collection of paphs and I do mist the leaves daily and I have a small solar powered fan that runs during the day time. thus far they are doing alright.

Oh okay thank you very much. I will start a light misting as well. I have added a fan for the summer that I have set to low to run during the hottest part of the day. It is odd that the bud that fell off was still yellow and the spot it fell off of is also still yellow. The brown blasted spot was something else entirely. I am hoping to at least get one bud to open.
