I'm almost completely done building my greenhouse!!!
the layout is 400 square feet so I think I'll have enough room for a while.
Let me know what y'all think. any suggestions are appreciated.

Wow way cool, maybe I should have you come and build me something LOL
Excellent - is that polycarbonate sheeting that you used for the walls?
Diane,
Yes the walls are made of courogated polycarbonate sheets. I picked these up from a local home improvement place that rhymes with "lowe's".
This structure is a lean-to style greenhouse which borders my living room, dining room, and kitchen. I had a screen porch in this same place before, so I managed to recycle some of the framing. I installed four power compact flourescent fixtures and one high pressure sodium light against the west wall. These lights are so powerful that when left on all night, I find all my blooms have turned towards it in the morning. It even bloomed a cymbidium out of order, with the highest bud opening first!
I'm so happy that I finally invested the time to make this a reality, and the total cost was only $1100! I still need to install misters, a heater, and figure out a more reasonable situation for my vent fan, but Im gettin there.
FANTASTIC!!!
There's so much space there that you surely will have a while before you fill it up... surely... right... hmm...
Have you got shading or does the polycard reduce the light enough to ensure the leaves don't burn?
oh man, oh man, oh man... I'm so jealous... I so want something like this!
Good job ! looks wonderful ! did you make the frame if so how ? it looks so professional . Only one suggestion ... Shade cloth Gin
Thanks for all the input guys!!!!
I do have shade cloth out there as of today, covering about 50 percent of the roof. I also recylced a giant pane of shatter proof glass to make a giant orchid bench! I'll post a few pics of it later. The frame was essentially already there, although I did need to move certain parts around, add a few supports, and remove a few things from it. It wasnt as difficult as I thought it would be, considdering it took only one person two weeks or so to build.
That is WAY too small!!! You need to dismantle it immediately and send it to South Carolina -- wait, let me get you the address.... Seriously, that is gorgeous and you will spend many, many happy hours there filling it up and tending to your plants.
