Default Phals in plastic pots falling over

Hi everyone. My Phals tend to fall over as so tall and the plastic orchid pots offer no support. The spikes are supported with the metal rods that came with them, but the rods tend to move around and give very little support. Hate to put the plastic pots into clay pots as I like the roots to benefit from the light but I'm thinking it's the only way to keep them from tipping over in a breeze or if touched even lightly by another plant when I move them to water. What do others do? Thanks for any suggestions.

Sorry that I can't be of any help, I have several phals and had some in the past and never encountered this problem, and I have them in plastic pots.

During blooming, a decorative pot is fine to use to display/keep orchids upright. Unglazed is a good choice as it allows air to the roots. Once the spike has dropped the flowers, it will probably not tip over and then you can pull it out of the decorative pot.

Concur with Harvey. Host the plant temporarily on a clay or ceramic pot.
