Vanda is now the correct name, but it ios probably still Neofinetia to many people. Still, we have to try and keep up....
About 14 spikes - actually difficult to count since some of them have so many flowers that it appears I am looking at two close together, until I trace the branches back to a common stem. I think about 120 flowers eventually.
I have been waiting to take the pic' until it is at its best - but the first flowers open a month ago are now going over and a lot of buds are still a few weeks away. But I should not grumble. This is my best result ever with this species - I have a few other plants, none as big as this. And this is the best flowering yet..
A pity that the RHS Orchid Committee has no meeting for more than a month yet, otherwise I might have made the effort to see if I could get a CCC .

I have one with a single spike! Not open yet.
Excellent. Deserves a CCC. Thanks for sharing Geoff
As a guess, 7 years. I bought it as a three inch pot, with a few growths, none big enough to flower. Now in a ten inch ( or maybe it's only eight inch) basket. But it does need potting on again. I shall cut the present basket off, using garden shears, one square at a time to avoid damaging the roots, and wash off the old compost by swilling the plant around in a bucket of water.
WoW, spectacular display - another candidate for the show bench, perhaps?
