    Default Paph. philippinense fma. alba

Still waiting for a few buds to open...they are really dragging their feet. this form has been around a number of years, but now is the time to buy one. the early ones were of course prohibitively expensive, and came with small flowers (most of which bloomed out fma. "aureum" anyway, with some brown spotting). now, if you shop around, you can get a nice sib cross of the true "alba" form for under 50 bucks, blooming size.

This one is from a Taiwanese sib cross, 'Ruey Ann Jade' AM/OSROC x 'Green Jade'.

Oh how funny you posted this, Jason - I just ordered one of these guys today!

So aurem means, 'not quite as alba as we'd hoped...' I was wondering.

Yours is really lovely! I hope I fare as well.

    STUNNING!!!!

There's just something so graceful about the greens... a subtle beauty!

I've got a flask of this that came from the US via Japan and now is in Perth... will get my hot little hands on it in June... and I can't wait!!!

    Ooo - very nice.

I've been wanting one of these forever and have resisted the temptation...your photos make resisting that temptation very hard!

    Very stunning, Jason!

How many growths on that plant, and what's its leafspan?

it might be around 20-22" across but looks smaller because the leaves are somewhat upright and curved.

bloomed on a mature growth and a large start, now breaking another lead as well.

anyone out there have a green-and-white maudiae type and want to set a seed pod?
