Hoa? McJulie? Any update on the BLC Mem Gladys Young project? You've been keeping us in suspense. Last updat was January 2007 - harvesting of pod, sent to company for flasking, second plating. Any seedlings yet??

    Hi Tami,

Good questions! Doc Spock and I text message on holidays, but we're both heads down with work, so I haven't had the chance - or the thought - to ask about the seedlings. Let me check with him (since he sent the seeds to the flasking lab) and I promise to post an update soon!

Roly, the seedlings are at the flasking facility still. They do not have time to take pictures for all their clients, usually. I am sure that once they are released pictures will be provided. If I remember correctly it can be up to 3-4 YEARS for some seedlings before they are big enough to deflask!!! I am guessing 1-2 years for a BLC would be about right.

I think 2 yrs is about right. They'd be replated once or twice during that time, but the lab wouldn't make any fuss and tell you - they'd just do it.
