Grammatophyllum propagation

Hi friends,

I would like to get another plant of my Gramm. scriptum. How do I go about getting out some Psuedobulbs without making a holy mess, or killing the original plant.
Please tell me of your experiences.

You could remove older pseudobulbs (anything over 4 growths) and it should start a new growth. I am not a big fan of dividing the orchids. Wishing all the best.

I think it would be difficult once the plant is established. Established clumps sometimes have bulbs at the centre die back, essentially dividing itself naturally. So I guess it is better to wait for this to happen instead of yanking out a couple of bulbs from the pot. As Sriram mentioned, Gramms are sensitive to root disturbance. Younger plants are more forgiving of dividing.
