Congrats! I used to do tropical fish from age to age 47. I converted my tank to orchidariums a few years ago.

These were my prize winning koi!
Some of which were over 3 ft long!
This was my Grand Champion koi at the Cherry Blossom festival in Japan Town, San Francisco, California. And when I won the prize, someone offered me 10 Grand for the fish and the throphy, but I didn't sell.
This was a runner up Grand Champion 36 1/2", bought it for $1200, then someone wanted to buy it (after it won), for $8,000 .. again, I didn't sell.
These ARE my most prized throphies... I still have them in boxes. ...LOL!
Unfortunately, I had to leave about $50,000 worth of Nishikigoi in California! Sniff! Can you imagine how many orchids I can buy for that?
So you see orchid lovers. For me ORCHIDS ARE CHEAP, compared to these! LOL!

Congrats on the awards. Each hobby has its peak of madness and looks like you have climbed the peak for Koi
I love your Koi. Sorry you had to leave them behind. They were gorgeous little things. I wince when I walk past the koi pond at my garden store where they are advertised for $300 each. I think I would have fainted walking past yours.
